The Council is a Virginia Nonstock Corporation which is organized to better the conditions of those engaged in the production of pork and porcino animals. The Virginia Pork Council seeks to improve the quality of pork products produced, and to develop a higher degree of efficiency in the production of pork and porcine animals within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

We cooperate with other organizations, agencies, and other groups who also want to improve the pork industry within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Through youth oriented activities, sales, and shows the Virginia Pork Council is able to provide its members with expertise in the many aspects of pork production. The Virginia Pork Council also seeks to educate the general public about the pork industry in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
